The Danbury Police Department announced on Tuesday that on Friday, Dec. 7, Edmond Paris was arrested by members of the department’s Special Victim’s Unit. The arrest came after a warrant was issued by the Danbury Superior Court following an investigation into the sexual abuse of a minor.
Paris, a Danbury resident, was arrested and charged with: three counts of sexual assault and two counts each of aggravated sexual assault of a minor; risk of injury to a minor with sexual contact and risk of injury to a minor for impairing morals.
He is currently being held in lieu of $500,000 bond. No return court date has been announced.
