The Danbury Police Department wishes to thank the residents and local businesses who have reached out to us in this time.

The outpouring of support from the community we serve has reaffirmed why each and every day we wear our badge and serve proudly the great community of Danbury.

We would like to thank the following but not limited to: Chick-Fil- A at the Danbury Fair Mall, MCCA of Danbury and Fairfield County Savings Bank on Federal Road.

We would also like to thank the citizens who have dropped off food to us.

More importantly, we would like to say thank you to those of you who have offered your prayers and a kind word.

The Danbury Police Department cannot successfully do our job without the community of Danbury and you have gone above and beyond to show us that we don’t have to. Thank you.

Chief Patrick Ridenhour and Deputy Chief Shaun McColgan.
