Edwin Moots, 20, was arrested after a traffic stop at 9:30 p.m. Saturday as he traveled south on Valley Road in New Canaan, police said.
The officer detected the odor of marijuana when speaking with Moots and deployed the police K-9 officer, police said.
The K-9 found multiple baggies filled with marijuana, a scale and multiple empty plastic baggies, police said.
Officers also determined that Moots did not provide his real name when stopped and that his license had been suspended, police said.
Moots was arrested and charged with interfering/resisting arrest; use and possession of drug paraphernalia; illegally operating a motor vehicle under license suspension; criminal impersonation and possession with intent to sell. Moots posted $250 bond for a court date of Aug. 2.
