Gunshots Fired At Hayestown Road Home In Danbury

DANBURY, Conn. – Several gunshots were fired Sunday night into a single-family home on Hayestown Road in Danbury, and even though the occupants were home at the time, no injuries were reported, police said.

The shooting occurred just before 11 p.m. when bullets suddenly pierced the front windows of the home. One bullet was discovered lodged in a couch, and another bullet hit a sink in the kitchen.

“We’re still trying to get to the motive,” said Police Lt. Tom Michael.

A silver-colored Land Rover was seen leaving the area following the shooting, but whether the police department has a suspect in the incident was not disclosed.

Michael said anyone with any information about the shooting can call the Danbury Police Department's detective bureau at (203) 797-4662, or the department’s anonymous tip line at (203) 790-8477.
