DANBURY, Conn. -- Danbury police have shut down Hospital Avenue between Osbourne Street and Tamarack Avenue due to a downed power line, according to ctnews.com. 

Firefighters were battling flames on the roadway and evacuating a building in the area due to smoke, ctnews.com said.
