Danbury Police Investigate Two Morning Robberies

DANBURY, Conn. -- Danbury police were called to two robberies in the city on Tuesday morning, about one hour apart, according to a statement.

Shortly after 10:30 a.m., police responded to Michaels Jewelers at 132 Federal Road on a report of a robbery.

At 11:35 a.m., officers were called to a second robbery at Webster Bank at 105 Mill Plain Road. 

Both scenes are actively being processed and investigated, police said.

At time of reporting there is no further information available from police.

The suspects in the bank robbery left cash scattered behind in the lobby of the bank, the reported. A dye pack went off during the robbery, and the suspects may have dye on them, the reported.

The male bank robbery suspects were described as 6 feet tall and wearing black-hooded sweatshirts and masks, the reported. Read the full report at the here
