Danbury Police Investigate Home Invasion Committed By Man-Woman Team

DANBURY, Conn. — A Prospect Street resident reported that a man and woman committed a home invasion Monday, stealing jewelry and cash and threatening to kill the victim, Danbury police said.

Patrol officers responded at 12:50 p.m. Monday to Prospect Street, where a female victim said she had gotten off a city bus on Town Hill Avenue and began walking east on Prospect Street when she noticed a gray SUV parked directly in front of her home, police said. 

As she approached, she saw a Hispanic man sitting in the driver seat and a Hispanic woman sitting in the passenger rear seat, police said. 

When the victim reached her home, the woman asked her in Spanish for water, police said. As the victim was leaving her home with the water, the man forcibly pushed his way in, followed by the woman, police said. 

The suspects stole cash, jewelry, and her purse, police said. At one point, the female suspect told the victim that she would kill her, police said.

The first suspect was described as a Hispanic man in his 40s , 6 feet tall, with a medium to heavy-set build, short dark hair and short dark beard and wearing a multicolored long-sleeved shirt with black dress pants.

The second suspect was described as a Hispanic woman who was 35 to 40 years old and 5-foot-2 with a medium to heavy-set build. She has light brown/blonde short hair and was wearing a red bandana, brown floral shirt and gray pants.

The suspects were driving a gray SUV of unknown make and model.
