The woman was Melinda Langyel, 32, of Danbury, police said. Langyel was found inside the tent at about 10:09 a.m. Thursday after a call to police to check on her well being, police said. The tent was set up in a vacant lot across from 100 Elm St., near the Trinity Christian Tabernacle church, police said.
There were no signs of trauma, but police were investigating the incident as an untimely death.
The Danbury Police Department's Detective Bureau was continuing to investigate. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner was conducting an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
