Members of the Community Conditions Unit set up surveillance in response to numerous complaints about public indecency in the area of the Mill Plain Road commuter lot and the Farrington Woods Recreational Park on Mill Plain Road near the New York border off I-84.
Over the several days of the investigation, officers arrested three New York men and one Connecticut man. All four have been charged with public indecency.
Two men were arrested at 3:19 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29. Patsy Barbato is 77 and is a Somers resident. Michael Melnick is 85 and is a Brewster resident. Both have a court date of July 13.
The second pair was arrested at 2:05 p.m. on Thursday, June 30. Jay Doyle, of New Milford, is 67, and has a July 11 court date. Stuart Sherr is 72 and is an Ossining resident. His court date is July 7.
