DANBURY, Conn. Police surveillance on Rowan and North streets in Danbury on Monday led to the arrests of four Danbury residents on drug charges, according to Detective Lt. Tom Michael.
Detectives from the departments Special Investigations Unit and officers from the Community Conditions Unit spotted separate hand-to-hand drug deals on Rowan Street and at an unnamed gas station on North Street on Monday, Michael said.
Christopher Carolina, 43, of Rowan Street, was arrested on misdemeanor charges of sale of narcotics, possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and possession of a controlled substance.
Also arrested was Jennifer Turlay, 28, of Hospital Avenue, on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Additionally, Kevin Jones, 53, of Foster Street, and Jaswinder Singh, 54, of Golden Hill Road, were arrested on charges of possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school, police said.
Carolina and Turlay were held on bonds and scheduled to be arraigned in Danbury Superior Court on Tuesday. Jones and Singh were released on promises to appear in court next month.
