DANBURY, Conn. — A Danbury man whose blood alcohol content was three times the legal limit was arrested early Saturday after driving away from a car accident, the News-Times said.
Rene Obdulio Perez-Santiago, 32, was charged with following too closely, evading responsibility, driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license, the News-Times said.
Officers saw Perez-Santiago drive away after rear-ending another car on Mill Plain Road just after midnight, the News-Times said.
When officers caught up to Perez-Santiago, they could smell alcohol and performed a sobriety test, which showed his BAC was 0.27, the News-Times said.
No injuries were reported.
