Danbury Man Charged In November Shooting At Elks Lodge

DANBURY, Conn. – A Danbury man was arrested Friday after turning himself into police in connection with a Nov. 17 shooting at the Elks Lodge on West Street that injured a woman in the leg.

The man, 20-year-old Damian Winters of Concord Street, was arrested on a warrant and charged with second-degree assault with a firearm and first-degree assault, police said.

Winters was held on a $500,000 bond and is set to appear in court Monday, police said.
