DANBURY, Conn. A 23-year-old Danbury man was arrested on weapons and drug charges Saturday night after he allegedly fired several rounds from a 9mm handgun into the air on Mill Plain Road, police said.
Officers responded just after 2 a.m. after receiving reports of gunshots. They searched the area and found someone fitting the description of the gunman parked in his car on Watson Drive.
Felipe Rosa, of Division Street, was arrested after officers found a 9mm handgun in his glove compartment, with all rounds expended, and an undisclosed amount of marijuana.
Rosa was charged with the following misdemeanors: carrying a weapon in a motor vehicle, unlawful discharge of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and possession of marijuana within 1,500 feet of a school. He was held on $10,000 bond and is expected to appear in Danbury Superior Court later this month.
