2 Facing Drug Charges After Danbury Grow Operation Bust

DANBURY, Conn. – Two men were arrested Dec. 28 after Danbury police said they discovered a small marijuana grow operation on Irving Place in Danbury.

The Special Investigation Division, Community Conditions Unit and SWAT team were involved in the search and arrest, Deective. Lt. Tom Michael said.

Kenny Chavez, 22, was charged with criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia, Michael said. He was released on a $10,000 bond.

Paul Walcott, 20, was charged with cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana, police said. He was released on a $1,000 bond.
