DANBURY, Conn. - William "Bill" A. Martin of Danbury died Thursday, June 27. He was 58.
Martin was born in Hartford and grew up in Bristol. He was a 1973 graduate of Bristol Eastern High School. He attended Tunxis Community College and UConn at Hartford. The Director of Catering at the Crowne Plaza in Danbury, he joined them seven years ago. A Danbury resident for the past seven years, he was a previous resident of North Hollywood, Calif.
Martin is survived by his longtime partner and friend of many years, Dennis R. Lauro, Jr. also of Danbury; sister, Carol Martin, of New Hampshire; several aunts; and many nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. Services will be private. Interment will be at St. Peter's Cemetery, Danbury at the convenience of the family. A further celebration of Bill's life will be announced to family and friends for later in the summer.
