Priscilla Luis, 91, Former Danbury Resident, Retired Sperry’s Employee

FAIRFAX STATION, Va. - Priscilla (Bento) Luis of Fairfax Station, formerly of Danbury, died Sept. 14. She was 91.

Luis was born Jan. 6, 1922, in New Bedford, Mass., daughter of Anthony and Germana (Brietes) Bento. She resided on Sheridan Street in Danbury for over 50 years and retired from Sperry’s after 36 years of employment.

Luis is survived by a son, Manuel Luis Jr. (Creryl) of Houston Texas; daughters, Ann Boglarski (Dr. Stephen Boglarski) of Fairfax Station, Va., and Celestine Garofalo of Hendersonville, N.C.; sisters, Esther Acucena and Germain Pontes of Dartmouth, Mass., and Florence Gracia of Safety Harbor, Fla.; three grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; and husband, Manuel Luis.

There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Oct. 26 at 9:30 a.m. in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Danbury with the Rev. Dennis Mason, OFM Conv. Officiating. Interment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
