DANBURY, Conn. - Nancy (Benedict) Nelson of Danbury died Thursday, Oct. 24. She was 78.
Nelson was born Oct. 9, 1935, in Danbury, daughter of Fred and Ruth (Ackridge) Benedict. Formerly of New Fairfield, she was an area resident all of her life.
Nelson is survived by her husband, Richard W. Nelson; daughters, Patricia A. Morosky and her friend Tim Smith of Dover Plains, N.Y.; Debra L. Vecchiarino (Thomas) of Danbury; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; and daughter, Kelly Ann Nelson.
Calling hours are Sunday, Oct. 27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hull Funeral Home, 60 Division St., Danbury. The funeral procession will leave the Hull Funeral Home Sunday, Oct. 27 at 1 p.m., traveling to Mountainview Cemetery, New Fairfield for a graveside service upon arrival.
