Dalessio was born Aug. 2, 1947, in Jamaica, Queens, N.Y., to Rita and Hal Riedinger. She spent her formative years growing up in Rosedale, Queens, attending the prestigious Mary Louis Academy. She considered Danbury as her real home. She attended Western Connecticut State University receiving both her Bachelor and Master Degrees in Education. She taught elementary school education first in Mount Kisco and the remainder of her career in the Brewster school system.
Dalessio is survived by her husband, Tony Dalessio; daughter, Lorin; son, Chris Dalessio; three grandsons; brother, Alan Riedinger (Doris); and nieces. Calling hours are Saturday, Nov. 2 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 2 at 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
