DANBURY, Conn. -- Julia D. Cipriano, of Danbury, died on Tuesday, Jan. 6, at Danbury Hospital with her family at her side. She was 80.
She was the wife of Antonio D. Cipriano.
She was born in Serpins, Lousa, Portugal, a daughter of Jose and Maria de Jesus Encarancao. She immigrated to the United States and settled in Danbury in May of 1967. Before her retirement in 2008, she worked for Ullman Devices Corporation in Ridgefield. She was previously employed at American Radionics Co. in Danbury. She was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Danbury.
She is survived by her husband, Antonio D. Cipriano, her daughters, Teresa M. Cipriano of Danbury; Maria Ferreira and her husband, Jaime, of Danbury; her grandsons, Phillip, Bryan and Kevin; her brother, Abilio of Portugal; her sister, Eileen of Portugal; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Manual and Lucia Cipriano of Danbury; her nephew, Manny Cirpiano of Danbury; and her great-nieces and nephew, Jessica, Michael and Nicole.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Danbury. Interment will be in St. Peter Mausoleum in Danbury at the convenience of the family.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Green Funeral Home at 57 Main St. in Danbury.
