DANBURY, Conn. – John B. Lariccia, formerly of Danbury, died Nov. 24 at Danbury Hospital. He was 85.
He was born Oct. 21, 1927, in Danbury to Felice and Maria Magliaro Lariccia. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theater. Lariccia served in the 298th AGF Band.
He owned and operated the El Dorado Restaurant and was a past president of the AARP Danbury Chapter. He was married to Rosemary Scozzafava Lariccia, who predeceased him.
Lariccia is survived by two sons, John A. (Janis) Lariccia, of Newtown, and James P. (Deborah) Lariccia, of New Milford; a daughter, Mary Ellen (Paul) Cesca, of Danbury; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Wednesday at St. Peter Church in Danbury. Cornell Memorial Home in Danbury handled the arrangements.
