DANBURY, Conn. - Helen Baliotis Grehn of Danbury died Saturday, Sept. 20. She was 90.
Grehn was born Nov. 4, 1923, a native of New Jersey, she lived in New York, Illinois, and Maryland before settling in her home in Danbury for 30 years. After graduating from the Washington School for Secretaries, she began working for her husband as a secretary and laboratory assistant. She then stayed at home to raise her children. She rejoined the workforce as a manager for Caldor in Ridgefield, where she spent many years until her retirement.
Grehn is survived by her daughter, Elaine; son, Gregory; daughters-in-law, Lydia Cunningham-Grehn and Cathy Taggart; five grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward.
A memorial service will be celebrated on Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 1:00 pm. at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
