DANBURY, Conn. Dinis Massa of Danbury died Sunday, Sept. 2, at Pope John Paul II Health Care Center in Danbury. He was 75.
Massa was born May 6, 1937, in the Azores region of Portugal. He attended school in the Azores and moved to the U.S. in 1987. He worked as a custodian at the Pope John Paul II Health Care Center and was a longtime member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Danbury.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Massa; a son, Paulo (Alexandrina) Massa, of Danbury; a daughter, Ana (Manny) Matias, of Bethel; a sister, Lurdes Medeiros, of Fall River, Mass.; and three grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Eusebio Massa.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Friday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Green Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
