WATERBURY, Conn. - Charles Robert Burnside of Waterbury, formerly of Bethel, died Saturday, Oct. 19. He was 66.
Burnside was born Jan. 27, 1947, in New York, N.Y., son of Nick Simone and Anna (Orsagos) Burnside Simone of San Diego, Calif. He served in the Marines during the Vietnam War and was the Maintenance Supervisor at Glen Hill Convalescent Center in Danbury for over 30 years.
Burnside is survived by his wife, Barbara Ellen (Gean) Burnside; son, Paul Burnside of Brewster, N.Y.; daughters, Kimberly Burnside and Amanda Burnside both of Bethel; four grandchildren; sister, Grace Patricio (Paul) of San Diego, Calif.; brother, Michael Simone (Shawn) of Oakland, N.J.; several nieces, nephews; and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents.
Calling hours are Tuesday, Oct. 22 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave., Bethel. Family and close friends are invited to the home of Kimberly Burnside in Bethel, Tuesday, Oct. 22 following the calling hours. Cremation will be at the convenience of the family.
