Alain Grandon, 70, Of Danbury, Retired Pitney Bowes Company Employee

DANBURY, Conn. - Alain Grandon of Danbury died Friday, Sept. 13. He was 70.

Grandon was born in Poitier, France, son of Lucienne (Leger) Grandon and Lucien Grandon. He attended schools in France and immigrated to the U.S. in 1962. He was a longtime Danbury resident. He worked as a model maker for the Pitney Bowes Company of Danbury, retiring after 33 years of service.

Grandon is survived by his wife, Sandra M. Grandon; step-daughters, Maureen Kimball of Hampton, N.H., and Linda Goodall of West Haven; a nephew; and 10 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father, Lucien; granddaughter, Emily Kimball; and sister, Annie Trinh.

There will be no calling hours. Interment will be private.

Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, is in charge of arrangements.
