DANBURY, Conn. - Adelino Teixeira of Danbury died Thursday, July 25. He was 90.
Teixeira was born April 9, 1923, in Cubo, Portugal, son of Antonio and Teresa Teixeira. He has been a resident of Danbury since 1973. He retired from Arcos Chemicals in Bethel. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Danbury.
Teixeira is survived by his children, Carlos Teixeira, Rosa Teixeira, Teresa Ramos, Maria LeBlanc, Jose Teixeira, Ana Perdigoto, Adriano Teixeira, Paulo Teixeira, and Maria do Ceu Bahia, and their spouses; 24 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Ana R. Teixeira; and son Manuel Teixeira.
There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 29 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Danbury. Burial will be in Saint Peter’s Cemetery, Danbury.
The Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury is in charge of arrangements.
