Vehicle On Tracks Near Bethel Delays Metro-North Trains On Danbury Branch

BETHEL, Conn. — Train service along the Danbury Branch was delayed Monday night after a vehicle stopped on the tracks near Bethel, Metro-North said via Twitter.

It was not clear why the vehicle was stopped, but no collision had been reported, the News-Times reported.

Train service on the Danbury Brach was delayed up to 65 minutes at 9:30 p.m., Metro-North announced. 

Metro-North also experienced long delays earlier Monday evening after a teenage boy jumped in front of a train in the Bronx, N.Y. Trains were delayed for up to an hour as late as 9 p.m. after the rush-hour incident. They boy, who was reportedly a student at Fordham Prep, was killed by a train near the Botanical Garden train station.
