8 p.m. update: DANBURY, Conn. -- Emergency roadwork was underway on westbound I-84 in Danbury, closing the left lane at 8 p.m. Monday where a tractor-trailer accident had occurred earlier in the evening.
The site is between Exits 2 and 1 on the westbound side, the Connecticut Department of Transportation reported.
Original story: DANBURY, Conn. -- A tractor-trailer accident on I-84 westbound was blocking the left and center lanes at about 5:45 p.m. Monday, the Connecticut Department of Transportation reported.
The tractor-trailer hit a "fixed object" between Exits 2 and 1, according to the DOT. Exit 2 is for Mill Plain Road and Ridgebury Road. Exit 1 is for Saw Mill Road.
Slippery conditions were reported throughout the area after a daylong snowstorm.
