Rachel Sack, a 23-year-old Bethel woman, was killed by while she was walking just before midnight Friday, Nov. 7, on South Street, just south of Great Pasture Road and Michaels II Cafe.
They have also created a scholarship fund to benefit her young son, Jackson, who is now 11 weeks old.
Danbury police released a surveillance photo of a white van that is believed to have been involved in the accident. Police described the vehicle as a white van with a ladder rack and passenger side windows. (It can be seen in the thirs photo above.)
The van was traveling south on South Street toward Bethel when it struck and killed Sack, police said.
Sack worked as a certified nursing assistant with Regional Hospice and Home Care of Western Connecticut.
