DANBURY, Conn. – “Real Housewives” star Teresa Giudice will serve 15 months in a federal prison camp in Danbury for bankruptcy fraud, according to NJ.com.

Giudice must surrender to federal law enforcement officials by Jan. 5. The Federal Bureau of Prisons has the option to place Giudice into a halfway house for part of her sentence, but the court denied her request to spend most or all of her sentence in a halfway house.

The Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury has gained fame with the hit book and Netflix show, "Orange Is The New Black." The book's author served her sentence in Danbury.

Danbury is a minimum-security camp that houses 218 female inmates. Another 800 inmates are held at a low-security prison next door.

She and her husband Joe Guidice were found guilty in a multimillion-dollar mortgage and bankruptcy fraud case.
