She reported to the prison at about 3 a.m., her attorney told NBC 4 New York.
Giudice, 42, and her husband pleaded guilty under a deal to bankruptcy fraud and conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud in a multimillion-dollar mortgage and bankruptcy case.
Before checking in at the prison, she had breakfast at the nearby Elmer's Diner, ordering a breakfast sandwich and coffee, US Magazine reported. A photo of that last meal in freedom can be found here at TMZ.com.
The prison in Danbury has gained fame with the bestselling book and hit Netflix show, "Orange Is The New Black." The book's author, Piper Kerman, served her drug sentence in Danbury. It also where rapper Lauryn Hill served out her three-month sentence for tax evasion.
Danbury is a minimum-security camp that houses 218 female inmates. Another 800 inmates are held at a low-security prison next door.
