FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — A pair of severed human legs were found Wednesday in thick vegetation near the State Street Metro-North train station in New Haven, according to the New Haven Register.
A homeless man led police to the legs, which had been there at least a week, as well as an arm, which was found later in a bag on a ledge below a nearby bridge, police told the Register.
The search for answers continued into Wednesday evening, with police uncertain of the gender, race or age of victim -- or even whether the body parts came from the same person, the Register said.
A Metro-North spokesman told the Register that the body parts are unrelated to any incident involving a Metro-North train.
