Danbury Offers Career Orientation Sessions At Tbico

DANBURY, Conn. -- Danbury will join the Northwest Regional Workforce Investment Board in supporting Career Orientation Sessions taking place Sept. 20, Mayor Mark Boughton announced.

The orientation sessions will take place at TBICO, located at 22 Eagle Road in Danbury.

Sessions will discuss careers in the construction field, including general construction trades, solar panel installation, natural gas pipework and jobs in the energy auditor field. Recent high school, tech school and college graduates are encouraged to attend. 

TBICO is a nonprofit organization established in 1993 with a mission of promoting personal and economic self-sufficiency through education, job training and financial literacy. It provides employment-focused education and training. It often helps people who are unemployed or underemployed, including many dislocated workers who were downsized after years of working and are in need of retraining.
