National Teen Driver Safety Week is from Friday through Oct. 26, during which State Farm Insurance holds a contest to see which school can garner the most pledges. The winning school will receive $100,000 and a concert by Kelly Clarkson.

People can make a pledge online.

"We want to win the top prize but our main objective in taking part in Celebrate my Drive is to promote safe driving," said 16-year-old Najmah James.

Students will set up a booth in front of the Microsoft store in the Danbury Fair mall during the week to encourage people to sign up. They will also have a table at the Danbury High School College Fair at the mall on Oct. 21.
