FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Bundle up if you are going out Thursday night: The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning for Northern Fairfield County from midnight until 9 a.m. Friday.

Temperatures in the area are expected to drop to or below 32 degrees in many areas during the overnight hours, which will produce freezing conditions.

Crops and sensitive vegetation could be killed if left uncovered or unprotected in these freezing conditions.

A Freeze Warning means that these conditions are imminent or highly likely.
