Water from the upper and lower systems of Aqua Vista Associates in Danbury is not safe to drink and must be boiled or treated before consumption, DPH officials said.

In order to ensure water safety, choose one of following methods:

  • Bring water to a rolling boil for one minute. Make sure there are no floating particles or cloudiness in the water.
  • Add eight drops of liquid sodium hypochlorite-only chlorine bleach per gallon.
  • Use water purification tablets according to manufacturer’s directions.

Indian Spring and The Cedars of Aquarion Water Company in Danbury were taken off the boil water advisory as of 3:45 p.m.

Visit the Department of Public Health website for the complete list of sources included in the advisory across Connecticut.
