DANBURY, Conn. – The Danbury Museum & Historical Society has scheduled its annual Holiday Shoppe and Craft Fair from Nov. 26 – Dec. 23 in Huntington Hall at its 43 Main Street campus, according to organizers.
Those pulling the nearly month-long fair together are currently seeking artisans and craft makers interested in selling their goods during the popular event, according to organizers.
In years prior, the fair has featured a wide variety of items such as handcrafted jewelry, fashion accessories, handmade bath and body products, presents for pets, holiday décor, wood-crafted items, floral design pieces, quilted items, knitted items, greeting cards, paper items, and ornaments, organizers said.
The Holiday Shoppe and Craft Fair is to be open six days per week (Monday-Saturday) from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., according to organizers, who said that sales will be managed by museum staff and volunteers, and that vendors need not be present during business hours. The museum also will provide online marketing for the event using its website.
A number of other special holiday-themed events are also scheduled that are expected to draw additional traffic to the fair, including the annual Holiday Tea in the Historic Rider House.
“We’re excited to welcome a wide array of talented people to fill Huntington Hall with their wares for this annual event,” said Brigid Guertin, executive director and Danbury city historian. “It brings many new and familiar faces through our doors and the Holiday Shoppe and Craft Fair has become a favorite, festive stop for gift giving needs each year.”
Organizers said there are a limited number of display spaces available, but that they are still open on a first-come, first-served basis at a “reasonable rate.”
