Danbury Man Scores With 50/50 Super Draw $100,000 Top Prize

DANBURY, Conn. -- Giovanni Forlini of Danbury scored a winning touchdown when the six-digit ticket number on his 50/50 Super Draw ticket – 032023 – was an exact match to the winning number randomly drawn on Feb. 1 for the big game’s $100,000 top prize.

“I logged onto the lottery’s website after the drawing to check for the winning number. When I saw my number was a match, it didn’t make sense at first. I couldn’t believe I actually won $100,000,” Forlini said in a statement. “Winning this is going to be a big help. I’ll be able to help fix my mom’s house up and pay off my credit cards.”

Forlini purchased his 50/50 Super Draw ticket at The Store of Danbury at 79 Lake Ave.

For selling the top prize winning ticket, The Store will receive a $1,000 bonus check from the CT Lottery.
