Danbury Library Hosts Civil War Lectures

DANBURY, Conn.-- The Danbury Library will host lectures on the Civil War on Sept. 30 and Oct. 27.

On Sept. 30, Keith Miller, a local Civil War historian, will describe the crucial role the men from Danbury and the 17th Connecticut Regiment played on the first and second days of the Battle of Gettysburg following their baptism by fire at Chancellorsville.

The lecture is from 6:55-8 p.m. 

On Oct. 27, the library will host a screening of Steven Spielberg's award-winning film, "Lincoln," from 2-4:30 p.m.
