Danbury Dance Troupe Performs At Festival of Trees For Anne's Place

DANBURY, Conn. -- The Connecticut Tiare Troupe of Danbury performed at the Festival of Trees, an annual fundraising event at the Matrix Ballroom Conference Center that benefits Anne's Place, a cancer support organization.

The Connecticut Tiare Polynesian Dance Troupe and the Keiki Polynesian Dance  Troupe are made up multigenerational dancers from age 4 to adults. The group has been performing throughout the community in nursing homes, assisted living facilities and fundraising events for Danbury and the surrounding areas.

Chona Imma Trinidad is the founder and dance instructor of the Connecticut Tiare Polynesian Dance Troupe. She started learning the Polynesian dances when she was in high school. To learn about about Trinidad and her dance troupe, visit http://www.acommonground.net/instructors.htm.
