The donation will enable the Danbury family services organization to expand and reinforce its programs, which are designed to strengthen families and prevent child abuse and neglect.

The network provides services at no cost to families in the area, including in Bethel, Bridgewater, Brookfield, Danbury, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown, Redding, Ridgefield, and Sherman.

“Elizabeth and Joseph Massoud have always been strong supporters of our organization and great believers in our mission,” said Susan Gigilo, executive director of Families Network. “With this extremely generous gift, Families Network will be able to expand our capabilities and resources, increase our reach and range of support to our clients, and be better equipped to meet our goals of helping families face their greatest challenges and ensure a safe and healthy environment for children.”

Joe Massoud, the foundation’s executive director, said the group was proud to support the agency.

“Sue Giglio and her team do an excellent job of fulfilling the agency’s mission,” he said. ”The children and families served by FNWC are very fortunate to have them, and we are blessed to be able to play a small role.”
