Our local furry friends from Danbury Animal Welfare Society were featured on CNN for their upcoming paw-ticipation in this year’s Animal Planet Puppy Bowl event.
The resce group has entered a total of 25 puppies in this year’s event, and four of them were chosen to compete. The pups, all of whom are up for adoption, appeared in a segment on CNN's "New Day" morning show on Friday, Feb. 1.
The Puppy Bowl features a total of more than 90 puppies from shelters all over the country and includes a variety of entertaining and competitive athletic-based activities.
One participant will be named as the MVP — the Most Valuable Pup. And while none of the four Danbury puppies made the starting lineup, they’re expected to come in as substitutes for some of the other starters.
The 15th annual Puppy Bowl is airing on Animal Plant on Sunday, Feb. 3 at 3 p.m. For more information, click here.
