The Scoop: Tony and Gina Nascimento have been scooping up their own ice cream creations for over two decades to delighted fans in Danbury. And each flavor is homemade from scratch, with a blend of creams from different dairies.
They rotate the flavors in the shop every day. But check the list for "Cardiac Arrest" — a mix of dark and milk chocolates that could melt your heart — and "Cookie Monster" — a blue-hued ice cream filled with chunks of Oreos and chocolate chip cookies that thrills "Sesame Street" fans of all ages. They also serve 16 different dairy-free Italian ices every day.
Il Bacio means "the kiss" in Italian — and you'll be sure to love the homemade delights at this Danbury landmark. It's tucked away in a strip mall near Danbury Hospital — which you may need after tasting the heart-stopping "Cardiac Arrest."
