It's a night of dancing and dining to benefit the museum.
Party-goers, along with city and museum officials, were decked out in their finest tuxes and gowns for an evening of entertainment and live auctions.
"What's great about the ball, is that it's an opportunity for Danbury to celebrate its history," Geoffrey Herald, chairman of the Danbury Historical Society, told Daily Voice.
"With the Historical Society representing that history, and carrying it on. Teaching it to the youth in our schools, bringing it forward to anyone who comes to visit our facilities, and allowing us to understand where we come from, so we have a better idea of where we may be going.
"The historical society is a bunch of hard-working volunteers, and paid staff," Herald added. "And the group that puts this on has worked so hard over the last couple of years, building this up. It's really a fabulous time. ... It's a party going on right here."
