DANBURY, Conn. -- Saturday dawned with frigid temperatures below zero in Danbury. As the day warmed up into the teens and 20s, snow began to fly.
Area residents who were feeling housebound by the winter that won't end headed to one of the warmest spots in town: the Danbury Fair Mall.
The carousel and children's play area offered a respite for parents and kids alike. Snow, meanwhile, piled up across the parking lot and the landscape.
A total of 2 to 5 inches of snow had fallen across Fairfield County by Saturday, with more snow and freezing rain expected overnight.
