First Night Danbury: 4 p.m.-8 p.m. Danbury hosts its 23rd First Night Danbury, featuring family-friendly entertainment and activities. Admission buttons are $7.50 and include entry to all events. Tuesday, Jan. 1: Happy New Year!

Wednesday, Jan. 2 Karaoke: 8 p.m. Coyote Maverick hosts all-request karaoke. 48 Newtown Road.

Thursday, Jan. 3 School Safety Forum: 7 p.m. The Danbury Board of Education hosts a workshop meeting about districtwide school safety in the Broadview Middle School auditorium. Open to the public. 72 Hospital Ave.
