Monday, Sept. 23

Learning Together Playgroup: 9:30 a.m. The group lets parents and children to speak, read, play and grow together. The playgroup is for newborns to age 5 and  offers circle time, story time, arts and crafts, music, and snack time. Free. Family Literacy Center, 49 Osborne St.

Tuesday, Sept. 24

24/7 Dad Father's Group: 6 to 8 p.m. A voluntary, community-based program that helps men develop attitudes, knowledge and skills needed to be the best dad they can be. It focuses on key fathering characteristics such as masculinity and work/family balance. Topics include family of origin; handling/expressing emotions; discipline, rewards and punishment; and physical and mental health. Free. Families Network of Western Connecticut Inc., 5 Library Place.

Wednesday, Sept. 25

Karaoke Night : 9:30 p.m. Enjoy Karaoke night at Widow Brown's Cafe, 128 Federal Road.
