DANBURY, Conn. -- The Danbury Museum & Historical Society will host its Ninth Annual Holiday Tea in the Historic Rider House Dec. 2-3.
Tea will begin at noon each day. Guests can treat themselves, their mom, sisters, co-workers, neighbors or best girlfriends to a special afternoon of tea, entertainment and holiday celebration.
Additionally, guests can chat with costumed museum staff and Friends of the society about tea customs, and take time to shop at the society's Holiday Shoppe & Craft Fair and museum gift shop. They will be able to find unique, hand=crafted items from dozens of regional artisans at the craft fair.
“These events have grown into a Danbury holiday tradition," said Brigid Guertin, executive director of The Danbury Museum & Historical Society. "We look forward to welcoming new and familiar faces to the museum during this festive time of year."
The cost for the tea is $25 per person and includes a selection of fine teas, sandwiches, savories and sweets.
Space is limited and reservations are required. Tickets may be purchased online or reservations can be made today by calling (203) 743-5200 or e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Danbury Museum & Historical Society.
