Danbury's Palace Shows Oscar Shorts On The Big Screen

DANBURY, Conn. -- The Palace Danbury will show all 15 Oscar-nominated short films on Saturday, March 1.

Trailer produced by The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences featuring the 2014 Oscar-nominated short films and interviews with filmmakers Steve McQueen, Sean Fine and Andrea Nix Fine.

"Go Long With Shorts" will run from 1 through 10 p.m. The day will be broken in to three sections: Animated shorts will begin at 1 p.m., documentary shorts will be shown at 4 p.m. and Live Action shorts will be screened at 8 p.m.

Attendees will have the chance to guess which short will win the Oscar in each category. Those who correctly guess all three will receive a pair of free tickets to a future Palace show.

Those that attend all three sessions will also $5 in Palace bucks to spend at the concession stand.

The Palace is located at 165 Main St.
