Working directly with restaurant owners, the mayor’s office has gathered support from nearly 50 restaurants that are excited to participate in what is hoped to be the first of an annual event.

Beginning Monday, Feb. 22 through Sunday Feb. 28, participating restaurants will offer a special prix-fixe menu during the entire week (excludes tax and gratuity).

Mayor Mark Boughton said: “If you ever passed by one of our local restaurants and thought, ‘I should try that place sometime’, then this is the week to do it! Restaurants are putting together special menus for this week or weekend only, showcasing some of their favorite dishes.”

The goal for Danbury’s first Restaurant Week is to increase patronage at restaurants, which benefits both the customers, who will have an opportunity to get a great meal at a great price, and the owners, who are expected to increase their service numbers.

An updated list of participating restaurants is available by visiting www.danbury- ct.gov/restaurantweek. This page also provides some of the prix-fixe menus, as well as the restaurants’ regular menus.

There are restaurants and special menus being added daily, so individuals are encouraged to check back throughout next week to find a new spot to try.
