Danbury Museum To Host Talk On History Of State Police

DANBURY, Conn. -- A retired state police sergeant will give a talk on the history of the Connecticut State Police as part of the Danbury Museum and Historical Society's special exhibit on "Hometown Heroes."

Retired State Police Sgt. Jerry Longo from the Connecticut State Police Museum will present a program entitled "The History of the Connecticut State Police Department" at 2 p.m. Saturday. The event is free and open to the public.

This talk will accompany the new museum exhibit “Hometown Heroes: An Historic Tribute to the Danbury Police & Fire Departments.” This exhibit will be open for viewing from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesdays through Saturdays until Nov. 9.
